MDS utilizes GPS technologies, in conjunction with a motion sensing belt pager, so that if there is a Man-Down Emergency event by one of your employees working out in the field, you’ll instantly be notified. That signal is also monitored by the Northern Commissionaires monitoring center. With GPS Fleet Management reporting tools and technologies, we’ll be able to tell you where the alert and the vehicle are precisely located to aid in the opportunity to send help FAST!

One of the most important features of this Man-Down System is what we call an “ACK Switch”. This switch equips the driver with the ability to test the system’s connectivity to the server. It also conducts a system check to ensure the key components are working at that moment. The MDS then provides an audible confirmation Chirp from the siren that we install in the engine compartment. This ensures that user knows the vehicle is receiving the proper GPS signal, is connected to the server and is reading the connectivity of the receiver for the intrinsically safe motion sensing pager before they venture out in the field. The “ACK Switch” also provides the user the ability to cancel a false alert via the MDS system where cellular coverage is limited or non existing.
